General Description:

The Trimble Scout M+ is a general purpose hand-held GPS Receiver utilized to computes accurate position co-ordinates, elevation, speed, and time information from signals transmitted by the Navstar Global Positioning System (GPS) satellites.  The receiver can be operated as a stand-alone unit using an internal battery pack (4 x AA) with an internal antenna or can be installed in ground facilities, and air, sea, and land vehicles using an external power source and an external antenna kit.
